Escrow Service
At Codeable, we require tasks to be paid upfront, and we use an escrow service to securely hold your money until you mark the task as complete, ensuring your expert is paid only when you’re fully satisfied with their work.
Here is a help article explaining the details.
How do I fund an additional task?
Additional tasks are created by your expert within the project once you both agree on the extra work.
If your expert lets you know that an additional task still needs funding, or you receive an email notification about a new task being created by your expert, just open your project page. All additional tasks and retainer tasks will be listed on the right side.
First click the VIEW ALL TASKS button to see every additional task. Then click the PAY NOW button next to the task you want to fund, and you’ll be taken to the payment page. Clicking the PAY NOW button won’t charge your card immediately.
You will see the payment confirmation page after you click the PAY NOW button.
If you use Link (Our payment provider, Stripe offers a product service called Link, where users can optionally click to save their bank card for future 1-click purchases), you will be asked to enter a code if you want to use the saved bank card.
Or you can choose to pay without Link by clicking the button "Pay without Link", and then you will see a page like this where you can enter the new card information.
If using Stripe or PayPal is not an option, Codeable also accepts wire transfers.
How do I fund a retainer task?
Retainer tasks can be found in the same place as additional tasks by clicking the "VIEW ALL TASKS" button on the right side of the project's page.
Click the "PAY NOW" button to fund each retainer task using Stripe.
