On Codeable we usually see 2 - 3 estimates, but getting only one estimate is also perfectly normal! We advise our experts to not have more than 5 experts estimating on a given project to not bombard you, the client.

If you receive multiple estimates, they are averaged together, and that's the price you see and get, no matter who you choose to hire. Why do we use averaged estimates and not do bidding?

If you receive an estimate, that means the expert is 100% qualified to solve your project - both smoothly and within your deadline.

So really you only need one expert to estimate on Codeable, but we understand it's also nice to be able to choose from a few who can help.
